Potter We formed in 1988 to save former Maine Central RR's "Lower
Road" between Brunswick and Augusta. Now owned by the state, the line is
leased to an active operator. We encourage preservation, enhancement, and
productive use of Maine's rail system by promoting awareness of modern
railroads' economic contributions through outreach and with our maps of New
England's rail system. We have completed restoration of two of three
coaches given to us. We seek members and those interested in all aspects
of railroading.
